Grace Vale is Founder, Managing Director and Creative Strategist at VENUES.
In her role she oversees the delivery of strategic services for VENUES clients in the conference planning for associations, non profit and the corporate industry.
With a BA in Religion & Geography from the University of Toronto Grace was drawn into the Events and Meetings Industry with her love of travel.
As a volunteer for the United Way Ottawa Centraide, in 1998, Venues received their ‘Award of Distinction’.
The learning curve expanded in 1998 with the Canadian Country Music Awards in Ottawa with the production of the Canada Country Gospel Music Show and increased again with The TDL Group ( Tim Horton’s ) Ltd in Ottawa in 2000. 5 Evenings of Entertainment including the Opening of the Children’s Camp in Quyon, Quebec and producing “Paul Anka” at the Ottawa Congress Centre.

Liette Philippe – Senior Project and Event Manager
An award-winning event planner with over 25 years of experience at all levels of the meeting planning industry, Liette has produced events, from 50 to 1100 attendees, across Canada and the US. She specializes in Continuing Medical Education (CME) events, educational conferences and exhibit/trade shows. Her expertise includes logistics, speaker coordination, abstract/poster sessions, awards ceremony, transportation/travel for groups up to 1000, volunteer management, site selection, contract negotiation and onsite management.
Liette has been a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI Ottawa Chapter) since 1997 and has served on various committees. She has been honoured by the MPI Ottawa Chapter with two awards: Planner of the Year (2004) and Program of the Year (2003). She was also recognized for her outstanding service by Youth Science Canada, receiving the Distinguished Service Award in 2012.
Partnering with VENUES, Liette offers her expertise and a superior level of service, working closely with VENUES clients and suppliers to create great events.
Darlene Kelly-Stewart – Senior Project and Event Manager
Darlene has been teaming up with VENUES for about 10 years adding her expertise to numerous projects in the areas of Marketing, RFP Management, Contract negotiations and Logistics planning and deployment. As an advocate for both Venues’ clients and Venues’ suppliers, excellence drives her commitment to every project with her ultimate win-win-win attitude and delivery.
Many can ask, but few have the answer when it comes to the question, “how do you know that?” the answer is Experience. Darlene received her B.Comm (HAFA) from the University of Guelph, a spring board into the world of hospitality management, sales and marketing.
After nearly 20 years in the hotel world, she changed to the planner side and has rarely looked back. Her unique perspective allows her to really listen to client’s needs and turn out talented ideas and solutions and deliver the vision back in the form of a successful and flawlessly executed program or event.
